Lucknow: The Basic Education Officer (BEO) in Kushinagar has terminated 20 teachers following orders from the Allahabad High Court. These teachers were found to have secured jobs in the 69,000 teacher recruitment drive using forged documents.
The investigation revealed that these teachers, part of the BTC-2015 batch, had manipulated their mark sheets to create fake merit lists and secure employment despite not meeting the required educational qualifications at the time of recruitment.
The termination follows a thorough investigation prompted by a letter from Secretary of the Basic Education Council, Surendra Tiwari, dated May 9, 2025. The BEO identified the 20 teachers involved and immediately terminated their services.
This action is expected to have repercussions for other teachers appointed under the same recruitment drive, with potential investigations in other districts. The secretary emphasized the importance of verifying merit lists and educational documents, warning that any discrepancies would lead to severe legal action.
