The UP Raj Bhavan commenced a special yoga series today in preparation for International Yoga Day (June 21), with Governor Anandiben Patel inaugurating the first session. Approximately 1,000 participants - including university students, government officials, and yoga enthusiasts - attended the 7:00 AM session on the Raj Bhavan lawns.
The daily program will run until June 20, focusing on this year's theme "Yoga for One Earth, One Health." Trained instructors guided participants through asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques during the 90-minute session.
A concluding ceremony is planned for June 21 at Raj Bhavan. The initiative aims to promote health awareness and environmental consciousness through yoga practice. Special Secretary to Governor Sri Prakash Gupta and Ayush department officials coordinated the event.
