Fans of Good Morning Britain were less than impressed to see one presenter absent from the ITV show on Thursday. Regular presenter Ed Balls was joined by Kate Garraway as Susanna Reid was nowhere to be seen - as is usual for this day of the week - but viewers at home were left raging.
It comes as Susanna has just taken a lengthy break for summer. Regular names such as Kate, Robert Rinder and Ranvir Singh were among the presenters who filled in for her as she enjoyed some time away. Her break lasted from July up until September 1, when she returned with a brand new look. Susanna had dyed her brown, bobbed hair blonde over the summer and the ITV host was seen wearing a lovely blue lace dress by Coast Fashion. She shared a snap of her look, posting it to Instagram, as she captioned it: "Blue Monday. New term - brings fresh energy and Ed Balls' favourite weather - autumnal rain."
However, fans were livid that just three days after her return, Susanna was once again taking time off, despite it being part of her usual rota.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one fan fumed: "Not coming up on GMB... Multi-millionaire Susanna Reid. Having just returned from her eight week summer holiday she's already slogged her guts out for three mornings this week."
Airing a hint of sarcasm, they added: "I hope she hasn't overdone things. Stay strong and rest up Susanna."
Another quipped: "@GMB Susannah back on Monday from 6 weeks holiday now needs a couple of days off...What a life she must lead working part time."
While a third echoed: "Susanna Reid worked a whole three days after a 6-week plus holiday #gmb." They then added a GIF, which read: "Thoughts and prayers".
Since her transfer to the ITV show in 2014, after her run on shows like BBC Breakfast, Sunday Morning Live, and The Andrew Marr Show, Susanna has firmly etched her mark on the morning broadcast scene.
She's the familiar face that graces our screens from Monday to Wednesday, teamed up with a rotating cast of co-presenters.
