A heartrending plea has been made for a poor pup who was abandoned twice within a month and is now in desperate need of love.

The unnamed dog was initially left on the streets with his mother and siblings last month, but was spotted by a passer-by before a rescue team arrived to save them all.

Suzette Hall, founder of Logan's Legacy 29, said: "Remember the mama dog who was tied so tightly in the alley - the one with her two little puppies dumped in a box that we rescued?

"We had no idea she had another baby. Someone had taken that last puppy from her in the alley before we even got there."

However, after only a month, the person who took him decided he was too much work and wanted rid of him.

Suzette continued: "About a month later, we received a message from that person - the one who had taken her other puppy - saying they no longer wanted him.

"I guess because he started growing up... Started needing more. My heart broke. He had already been dumped once, and then ripped away from his mama when he still needed her milk.

"Before we could even make a plan to get him, she took him straight to the shelter. Dumped again. Alone again".

When Suzette collected the terrified puppy, he was shaking and unsure whether to trust her. She recalled: "When I got there today, he was trembling - shaking so badly in his kennel, his eyes filled with fear and confusion.

"He had already lost his mama and been abandoned twice. I can't even imagine what he must have been thinking.

"But today... Today was his freedom day. I pulled him out of that shelter, out of that cold, scary place.

"And do you know what he did? He curled up in my arms, and the moment we got in the car, he finally slept. Deep, peaceful sleep - the kind that only comes when a soul finally feels safe.

"He's the sweetest, most loving little cuddle bug - gentle, grateful, pure. Today was the start of his new life. No more chains. No more fear. No more being thrown away."

Now, Suzette, who rescues unwanted dogs across America, will ensure his health is thoroughly checked before pairing him with ideal new owners.

Responding to her post, one user commented: "Thank you Suzette! What a precious little soul. He has a chance now - all because of your kindness and dedication. You and your army of love! God bless you!".

Another user remarked: "Oh Suzette, you are truly an angel. I don't know how you do it, seeing the worst of humanity mistreating innocent babies such as this one. I can't thank you enough, I'll make a donation in honour of this sweet baby."

A third user commented: "Thank you for rescuing this sweet boy. Look at how smart he is. He's got a huge intelligence knot! Poor little sweetie looks just like a doggie I used to have."
