There are just four days left of the Italian Open, with the likes of Jannik Sinner and Coco Gauff headlining the day's play on Thursday. Last night saw top seed Aryna Sabalenka crash out to Qinwen Zheng and Alexander Zverev exit to home favourite Lorenzo Musetti.
Sinner, playing in his first match back since accepting a three-month suspension for failing doping tests, is eyeing glory and will take on sixth seed Casper Ruud for a place in the semi-finals. He is on the opposite side of the draw to Carlos Alcaraz and the pair could meet in the final, after Alcaraz defeated Jack Draper yesterday.
Gauff is the highest seed left in the women's draw, having already put Emma Raducanu and Mirra Andreeva to the sword, as she and Qinwen will battle for a place against either Jasmine Paolini or Peyton Stearns in the final.
