Surat: A guidebook providing detailed information on schemes and subsidies available for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), prepared by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), was released on Friday. The book was launched by minister of state for home Harsh Sanghvi.

"Such publications are extremely beneficial in offering accurate guidance and information to entrepreneurs," Sanghvi said at the launch. He emphasised that the MSME sector is the backbone of India's economy and lauded efforts aimed at strengthening it.

The guidebook includes comprehensive details on various MSME schemes implemented by the state govt, policy guidelines, financial assistance programmes, certification processes, subsidies, and registration procedures. "This will help small entrepreneurs access business guidance and take full advantage of government initiatives," said SGCCI president Vijay Mevawala.

He added that in today's rapidly evolving business environment, providing entrepreneurs with in-depth information and direction is essential for the growth of the MSME sector. "SGCCI is working to raise awareness among entrepreneurs about the available government assistance schemes and to drive further development within the sector," Mevawala said.
